Ways to Not-SXSW

South By Southwest had officially gotten here and taken over our fair city. I, for one, will definitely be taking part in some incredible SXSW occasions. This is only my second year as an Austinite so whatever is fresh and new. To veteran citizens, South By can be more of a problem than an amazing experience. You may be planning to hole up in your home for the next two weeks to prevent the madness, but do not feel caged in! There are lots of enjoyable, productive things you can do in and outside your house without getting caught up in SX Fever.Have a party

  1. of your own. Invite all your good friends over for supper or beverages at your location. As long as you do not live in the SXSW zone, you’ll get to see all your good friends and have a great time.Get your craft on. Whether it’s painting, pottery, or furnishings building, you can avoid the downtown hustle and make your home a little prettier with your very own two hands.Start your spring cleaning. You’ll feel a lot better after a deep clean and you can’t use going out as an excuse! If you want to get actually crazy, take out your spring/summer clothes and decor.Head out to the burbs. Avoid downtown entirely by taking pleasure in whatever Austin’s residential areas have to offer. Lakeway, Round Rock, and Bee Caves have some terrific attractions.Take a field trip. Drive out to a few of the wineries and other tourist attractions in hill
  2. nation or make the trek to San Antonio or Waco to try some brand-new things a little outside your backyard. These are just a few of the things you can do without having to endeavor into the SXSW chaos. I’ll be selecting a mix of SXSW

celebrations and festival-avoiding activities. Exactly what are your plans?
